A whiskey cocktail recipe for a holiday Rosemary Maple Fizz drink. Super easy and delicious.

Elle Talk Fact: After every Holiday meal my family ends it with a cocktail and dessert. This is a favorite moment of mine because you have everyone around the table, happy and full, enjoying each other’s company. I wanted to keep this tradition alive in my own home for this season. I’ve given you a few dessert recipes to get you through the Holidays, now I want to make a cocktail that could pair with them.
To keep with my theme of Holiday entertaining that is bold flavors with a lot of ease. I headed out to our local H-E-B to grab a few essentials that could give me a cocktail that is not only delicious but can be made ahead of time. When I noticed their limited edition Maple Crème Soda as one of their Primo Picks, I knew I couldn’t pass this unique to H-E-B option up to make a Rosemary Maple Fizz.
This Maple Crème Soda is sweet, bubbly, and smells like breakfast heaven. Plus it’s made with pure cane sugar and no high fructose corn syrup. Awesome right? Since this cocktail is served with dessert I wanted the Maple to be the main star. Adding in Holiday flavors like lemon and rosemary turns it into being a perfectly balanced transition drink from dinner to dessert as well. This cocktail really is easy as pie to make! So let’s get to it.
You’ll need the following.
Whiskey, lemon cut into wedges, rosemary, ice and H-E-B Maple Crème Soda.
A shaker with strain, muddler, and two rocks glasses.
This recipe makes two cocktails but with how easy it is to make you can serve a crowd quickly.
Into a shaker add two lemon wedges, a 1/2 inch sprig of rosemary, and 3 ounces of whiskey. Muddle these ingredients together until the lemon has broken down and you can smell the rosemary. About 1 minute.
Divide the whiskey mixture between two rocks glasses filled with ice. Top off two drinks with H-E-B Maple Crème Soda, and garnish with lemon peel and an extra rosemary sprig. That’s it!
- 3 oz Whiskey
- 2 Lemon Wedges
- 1 Sprig Rosemary
- 6 oz H-E-B Maple Creme Soda
Into the bottom of a shaker add rosemary sprig, lemon wedges, and whiskey. Muddle your ingredients together until fully combined. Into two rocks glasses full of ice strain you whiskey mixture between the two glasses. Top off with H-E-B Maple Creme Soda. Garnish with lemon ride and rosemary.
The best way to serve a crowd for this is to make it ahead of time. You would make your strained lemon, rosemary, and whiskey mixture then add it to a carafe. Then when you are ready to serve pour the whiskey mixture it into your glasses and add soda! How easy is that? Just make sure you have no seeds in you lemon, rosemary, whiskey elixir after you strain it.
I personally love eating Pecan Pie with this cocktail. The toasted pecans go perfectly with the Maple Crème Soda. Plus the lemon and herby rosemary keeps this cocktail from being too sweet.
