It’s Thanksgiving week! This Thanksgiving I’ll be cooking a semi-full course Thanksgiving dinner for Brad and myself. This is the third time we’ve stayed home for the holiday, so we’re not new to cooking this dinner for two. This year though I’ll be trading pie for dessert cocktails. Between the two of us a whole pie will go to waste before it’s finished. Plus, good luck getting us to agree on one pie flavor. Pecan pie will always win my heart, apple wins his, and we both can pass on the pumpkin. To please both our taste buds, I’ll be shaking up these Spiced Sugar Cookie Martinis. Amaretto and irish cream sweeten these vanilla vodka martinis. Then spiced with small batch Sir Winston’s Spiced Simple Syrup for a cinnamon and light chili nod. It’s a wonderful sweet and spicy balance that even Santa will want sitting out on Christmas Eve.

The simple syrup in this cocktail is what elevates it. Sir Winston’s Spiced Simple Syrup is one of my favorite products I’ve come by this year, if not my number one favorite. It’s versatile against most spirits and it works fantastic in baking too. I’ll be adding it to my sweet potato casserole this week! Another reason I wanted to highlight this brand is because their local to Houston, TX. During the holidays I try to add as many local goods to my gift giving as possible.
