A sweet take on a Cinco De Mayo dessert classic. This Cinco De Mayo drink used Vanilla Vodka, Fireball, Irish Cream, and 151 for liquid churro that taste like cinnamon sugar goodness caught on fire!

This Flaming Churro Shot is delicious and pretty easy to make for a fun Cinco De Mayo drink recipe. It’s got a cinnamon sugar rim that glazes over when the shot is lit, so I mean, yeah, it’s pretty awesome! Now this isn’t Elle Talk’s first fire induced elixir. Last year I made this Buttered Fire Whisky in honor of Harry Potter’s Birthday! So I came back with more Fireball and 151 because why not?
**To start out I have to state that I am not held responsible for you burning yourself, anyone else, or anything at all. So be careful you are working with a flammable liquid and fire. Make sure to use heat safe shot glasses and wait for the glass to cool before consuming so you do not burn yourself!**
Now that’s out of the way, to make this shot you are going to take Bailey’s Alamande, Fireball, and Vanilla Vodka to a shaker. Give it a good shake for 10 seconds! You’ll want to coat the rim of the (heat resistant) shot glass you are using with cinnamon sugar. Add your mixture into your shot glass leaving a little bit of room for your 151. Using the back of a spoon pressed to the inside of the glass, carefully top off your shot with Bacardi 151. Now this is important! If you just dump 151 on top of it, it won’t light. If you put the 151 in the shaker with the rest of your ingredients, it won’t light. You have to layer it on top of your Churro Shot.
From there carefully light the top of the 151 on fire. You’ll see the sugar caramelizing on the sides of the glass as it stays lit. After you 151 has burned off or you’ve chosen to blow it out let the glass and left over 151 cool before taking the shot. Use a straw to take the shot or let the glass cool to the touch before throwing it back!
- 1 ounce Baileys Alamnde
- 1 ounce Fireball
- 0.5 ounce Vanilla Vodka
- 0.2 ounce Bacardi 151 Rum
- Cinnamon Sugar for Rimming
To a shaker filled of ice add in your Vanilla Vodka, Fireball, and Bailey's. Give it a 10 second shake.
Taking two heat proof shot glasses that you have rimmed with cinnamon sugar, pour your Churro Shot into each glass. To catch it on create a layer of Bacardi 151 by using the back of a spoon to top of your shot. CAREFULLY, light the 151 on fire. Let it burn out or blow out the flame after a few seconds.
Wait for the glass to cool and take your shot or use a straw to consume after the flame has been blown out.

If you do not use a heat safe/proof glass the glass can shatter.
